Steve, better known as Stix, has been behind the kit since the age of 13 — and there’s a very good chance he’s been making more noise than necessary ever since!

With his biggest drumming influence being his dad, the legendary “Papa Stix”, Steve has spent years honing his craft across both original and cover bands, including The Culprits and Tantric Zoo.

A lifelong lover of music, Steve has played across a wide range of styles over the years and loves the challenge of turning his hand to something new. These days, he’s particularly enjoying the world of country music, where groove, feel and playing as part of the bigger picture are right up his street.

For Steve, drumming isn’t just about keeping time — it’s about feel, energy and, most importantly, locking in with the rest of the band. Whether laying down a solid groove, adding a few tasty fills or simply helping the song come alive, Stix is happiest when he’s behind the kit, sticks in hand and music all around him.
