Dave's love for music came from his childhood, listening to his mother sing songs from her days performing with swing bands in the 50s and 60s.  Buying his first bass guitar at the age of 14, his journey into the world of  low notes began. Self taught, he joined various bands through the years performing various genres, from rock and pop, to reggae and the occasional blast of singing old school Engelbert songs when the
opportunity arose. 

Performing on stage also gives Dave a chance to exercise his love of lighting and sound production, trying to lift any gig into a good show for the audience.  Marketing is also something that Dave recognises as an important factor in the progress of any band, designing various posters and other merchandise, including banknotes with images of his band members which audience members like to collect.
